The rooms were spacious and homey, and we loved exploring the surroundings on the free bikes they provided. Plus, there was cable programming on the TV, so we could chill and watch some shows after a day of adventure.
We wished there was a livelier and more happening atmosphere at Purple Garden Homestay. It would have been great if there were more activities or events for us young party-going people.

One thing that I absolutely loved about this homestay was the beautiful decoration throughout the property. The delicate artwork and traditional Vietnamese touches really added to the overall ambiance and made me feel like I was truly immersing myself in the local culture. The general areas were also well-maintained and provided a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for relaxation. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated the accessibility of the homestay. The pathways were well-paved and lit, and the ramps made it easy for me to navigate with my walking stick.
If I were to suggest one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, it would be great if the children working there could offer some assistance in organizing day trips or guided tours specifically tailored for older guests. Having someone knowledgeable and understanding of our needs would have been helpful, especially when it comes to arranging transportation and ensuring that the activities are suitable for seniors.

The staff at Purple Garden were so friendly and the rooms were spotless. I loved that they provided real coffee at breakfast, not that dreadful instant stuff! And to top it off, they let me use their bicycles for free!
Oh, I just adored the lack of socializing with other travelers. Who needs new friends anyway?

Had such a lovely time staying at Purple Garden Homestay! Arrived to a warm welcome by the owner, Mr Phúc, who was kind and helpful throughout our stay. The family-run business is full of smiles and great English speakers. The comfortable bed and spacious room, along with the balcony, were perfect. Mr Phúc's delicious breakfast omelets and traditional Vietnamese dishes made us feel at home. The location, just a short bike ride away from the busy old town, was ideal. Free bikes were provided, and Mr Phúc helped arrange tours and transportation. Highly recommended!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The room was spacious and clean, with a nice seating area and table. The breakfast options were tasty and plentiful. The location was great, in a quiet neighborhood but still close enough to the busy old town. And I loved that they provided free bikes for exploring the area.
I had a frustrating experience with the arranged shuttle service from the train station, which ended up costing me a lot in taxi fares. The bikes could have used some tuning up as I had a few issues with them, although the owner did quickly fix the problems.

The rooms at Purple Garden Homestay are cozy and comfortable, with a seating area and a flat-screen TV. I felt right at home and enjoyed lounging around after a long day of exploring.
Personally, I found the rainfall showerheads in the private bathrooms a bit too strong. But hey, I know some people love a powerful shower!
